ASOS Sale Haul

Hi guys! Today I'm sharing with you some of my recent ASOS sale purchases (and by 'recent' I mean these things arrived yesterday!) I haven't done very much clothes shopping in the past 6 months because I've been so preoccupied with moving house and buying things for my new house, so I was in desperate need of some new additions to my casual wardrobe!

The whole reason I placed my order with ASOS in the first place was for these jeans. Living with two excitable and playful kittens has its drawbacks, especially for my skinny jean collection! They have ravaged two pairs so far which meant these Ridley bargains were an essential purchase. Only £14 reduced down from £35, they're a perfect snug fit and I love the dip-dye effect. Link HERE.

Cold shoulder jumpers have sort of been and gone already, but I never got on board with the trend. Until now - a little late in the day but this simple oversized grey sweatshirt is by Glamorous but available in the ASOS sale for a mere £11.50 (reduced from £26) and will be great for lazing around on weekends once autumn hits. Link HERE.

I wasn't massively keen on the acidic tone of this green vest top when I opened it up (especially because it's so creased!) but once I tried it on and admired the nice fitting and pretty studs I was sold. Primarily because it was only £9.50 down from £16 and will look great with jeans and a leather jacket. Link HERE.

Another simple vest top, this Vila top was only £10 and I can see it being a staple in my casual wardrobe in autumn, winter and in the warmer months too. It's a lovely fit and the crew neck is a bit different to other vests I own. Link HERE.

Another grey sweatshirt - how exciting(!) This basic grey sweater is the nicest fit and looks so flattering on! I find it tricky to buy jumpers that flatter my shape as I'm quite top heavy, so when I tried this on and it was the perfect fit I had to keep it! And it's only £6.50 - link HERE.

By far my prettiest purchase, this gorgeous sheer 3/4 sleeve blouse is absolutely adorable and will be great for my work wardrobe. When I saw it was reduced to £10 down from £32 I couldn't resist buying it and I'm so glad because it's very simple but so chic. Link HERE.

As you can see I invested in quite a few basic tops - I really don't have that many tops in my wardrobe and struggle to find things to wear on the weekend! I bought this slogan baseball tee quite randomly but found it was actually the best fitting baseball tee out of the three I ordered, so it's a definite keeper. £8 reduced from £18 HERE.

Last but by no means least is this gorgeous beige trench coat. I have a lovely little red trench that I've owned for about 10 years and wear to death. I have been keeping an eye out for a more work appropriate version in a neutral shade for a really long time. I can't really pull off double breasted jackets because as I said, I'm top heavy and look ridiculous with any added bulk in that area, and it's much harder than you'd think to find a trench coat that's not double breasted! When I spotted this belted beauty I had to have it, and it fits like a dream. So happy that my search is over, especially because this was a mere £33 reduced in the sale. Link HERE.

What do you think of my sale bargains? Have you had any ASOS splurges recently?

ASOS Sale Dresses

Happy Saturday morning everyone! Have you entered my giveaway? You could win goodies from Essie, Sleek and A-Derma. Click HERE to enter.

I recently picked up a couple of dresses in the ASOS sale that I have since absolutely fallen in love with, they're so pretty and perfect for Spring! The reason for the order was to find something to wear for my boyfriend's dad's 60th birthday, but I ended up keeping two dresses and not just one, woops!

This daisy print jersey dress looked lovely online but I think I like it even more in real life! It's a clingy fit with a gorgeous full skirt that is just so flattering on! I love the sweetheart neckline too! There's a lot going on with this dress so I think it looks best worn with simple sheer black tights, a beige cardi and my red trench coat. It's a real favourite of mine already and I know it's going to be ideal for Spring and Summer. Now £17.50 HERE.

This stunning electric blue dress virtually jumped off the screen when I saw it on the ASOS website, I bought it straight away and fell in love when I tried it on. It's just such a stunning colour! The sheer sleeves and cute white peter pan collar make it look much more expensive than it actually is, and this is the dress I wore to the party in the end. Can you believe it's only £16.50?! HERE

What do you think of my sale buys? Have you picked up any bargains recently?

ASOS Agatha Chelsea Boots

Just a quick post on some boots I picked up from ASOS just before Christmas. Although I love my studded boots, they can be a bit OTT with some outfits & so I looked around for some plainer, simpler black Chelsea boots... and found these!

They are perfect! They're super comfy, look fab with almost everything I own, and the best part? They were only £12.50! I've worn them constantly since I purchased them.

They're still on sale now if you click HERE (RRP £32!).

ASOS A/W Haul

Whilst I was off work I did quite a bit of online shopping. ASOS had 25% off certain brands at the time so I picked up some A/W staples.

I love this statement necklace. I'd been after one for a while as I love the way a chunky knit looks with a necklace peeping through, but couldn't find one I liked anywhere. This one I love as it mixes metals which is one of my favourite looks. It was £10. Click!

I'd seen this Mango jumper everywhere - Kate Moss wears it on an advert, and was delighted to see it was reduced on ASOS! I've worn it loads already, it's a loose fit and I got a medium so it would hang nicely. It's so easy to wear with black skinnies or a skirt just to lounge around or for a shopping trip. £22.99 Click!

This sleeveless blouse is by Chelsea Girl at River Island. I'd seen quite a few things I wanted from River Island but didn't order as they don't offer free delivery and I always resent paying for delivery when I'm online shopping! It's light and looks great tucked into a skirt or with skinnies and a big slouchy cardigan. £20 Click!

Finally I picked up these cute little lacy socks for only £4 - they look fab teamed with sheer black tights and my new studded ankle boots! Click!

Also I just want to say a big WELCOME to my latest followers :) it always makes me smile when I see that a few new people have decided to stick around, so thank you! When we reach 100 followers I will be having a celebratory giveaway - let me know if there's anything in particular you would like as a prize!

ASOS Jumper Dresses

A few weeks back I had a massive clearout which justified quite a bit of shopping to fill all the new gaps in my wardrobe! These snuggly jumper dresses from ASOS were the first things I bought.

I think they're perfect for winter and autumn, as on warmer days you can pair them with sheer black tights but on those icy cold clear days they'll look fab with thick tights, socks, boots and layered up with a coat and scarf!

I've already worn them a lot as they're so easy to throw on, perfect for lazy Sunday afternoons! The leopard print dress was £18 when I bought it (on offer) and the other dress was £16 (also on offer) but unfortunately is now out of stock.

Have you invested in any cosy jumper dresses for winter?

I Want Never Gets... Blouses & Jumpers

With the nights drawing in and the days getting ever shorter, its increasingly important to wrap up in this season's stylish jumpers and blouses.. here are a few I'm currently lusting after from ASOS:
I have fallen big style for this kitsch peterpan collar red jumper, only £35! Linky!
Simple and versatile, this collared jumper would be ideal for work or play, and at £35 it's a bit of a bargain. Linky!
Stars are everywhere this season, and this monochrome blouse is a chic way to embrace the trend without going too far. £35 Linky!
Here's another sneaky peterpan collar, I'm so obsessed! I am smitten with this blouse and it's adorable parachute print, it'd be a subtle way to introduce a bit of personality into your winter work wardrobe. £35 Linky!
Again with the monochrome, this blouse is simple and chic and would easily look fabulous teamed with most things. Only £30 Linky!
Do you look forward to cold weather so you can pull on a jumper like me? Where's your favourite place to shop for snuggly knitwear?

I Want Never Gets... Party Dresses

ASOS have some absolutely gorgeous party dresses in at the moment!
I adore the colour of this red/pink lace dress! I think it would look great on most skintones and the cut would flatter most shapes too! Investment piece for winter as you could easily wear this with or without opaque tights. £65 Linky!
This long sleeved sheer dress is stunning, and would be ideal for a special occasion (birthdays, Christmas or even NYE!) The shape wouldn't suit me which is a shame as I think it's a really special dress. £60 Linky!
Now this peterpan collar sheer heart mesh bust dress is my favourite of the lot. It's got so much personality but isn't too 'out there' and is timeless so will last season after season. This might be my NYE dress, or if I can wait I'll probably end up buying it in the Jan sales. I love love love it! £55 Linky!
The colour of this one shouldered dress is delicious, but I think it would only really suit darker skintones (sob). £55 Linky!
I think this sheer stripe dress does not look like an ASOS dress! It's so unique, I think it looks more designer than high street! I love it but have no idea what type of event I could ever wear it out to. £30 in the sale! Linky!
Don't forget I'm having a BLOG SALE! Click here to see what I'm selling!

Bowie

Words cannot express how I feel about this bag - hence starting the post with a photo! Meet Bowie!!!
He's amazing - I've been lusting after him for a whole year! He's a black PU bowling bag by Mischa Barton, I bought him from ASOS for £45 but I think I got the last one as he's not on the site anymore! Click here for something similar though!
He's just big enough to take home when I'm heading back to Leeds for the weekend, and has a studded silver star print on the front along with a gorgeous purple lining and lots of silver accents! PERFECTION! <3

I Want Never Gets... Blazers

2011 is definitely my year of the blazer, I'm hooked! Here are a few of my faves from ASOS:
This tuxedo-style blazer is absolutely gorgeous, I love the contrast with the black lapels! It's a bit steep at £75 but would be an investment to any work wardrobe! Linky!
Very simple but very stylish, this is another tux-inspired style and I love it! Expensive at £65 but this blazer is so versatile you could easily dress it up or down for formal or casual events. Linky!
This sheer blazer is beautiful and reminds me of Stella McCartney's collection - the monochrome style would fit right in with her new collection. It's a bit of a bargain at £35 too! Linky!
Are you a blazer fan? Where is your favourite blazer from?

I Want Never Gets... Day Dresses

I have been hooked on the ASOS website ever since getting the internet back - I love so much of their new season stock! Too much, in fact, to limit to one post only, so stay tuned for a few more ASOS-oriented I Want Never Gets items! First up, delicious AW11 day dresses!
This gorgeous maroon spotted print dress would look so cute with opaque tights and a huge chunky knit cardy in the soon-to-be-chilly weather! I LOVE peterpan collars at the moment and this one is delightful! £40 Linky!
Again, how adorable is the collar on this knitted dress? I think this would be perfect with sheer black tights and brogues! Simple but chic, and only £35! Linky!
I really love the carousel horse print on this jumper dress, its so kitsch! Not sure the style would suit my body shape though... £35 Linky!
I'm besotted with this dress, it's so unique! And again with the peterpan collar! I really am going to try hard not to buy this, it's £45 which I think is a bit steep for a day dress. Linky!
Have you seen anything you're desperate to buy in the AW11 stock?

I Want Never Gets... Trousers

I've seen some gorgeous trousers/jeans on ASOS lately that I'd personally never have either the legs or the confidence to pull off, but I will happily share my lustings with you!
These cropped light wash denim skinnies are so cute and incredibly flattering on the model, but I can't help but think they'd make me look less than attractive. Still, I'd love to wear them with a band tee or long vest and faux leather jacket on colder summer nights. £30 from ASOSLinky!
These simple black palazzo pants are so chic, but I just don't have the height or the right body shape to be able to pull off this look. A shame really, as at £40 these trousers are definitely an affordable wardrobe staple for A/W11. Linky!
& last but most certainly not least are these incredibly wet look leopard print leggings. I can't put into words how much I adore these - they're so rock chick! I'd love to have the confidence to wear these (and the slim thighs) but unfortunately I just can't see myself ever daring to wear them out! And at £40 they're a little to expensive to just wear around the house. Sigh. Linky!

I put some new shoes on and suddenly everything is right

I have a new shoe love in my life! If you've read THIS post then you'll know than until now my heart was captured by some glorious floral wedges from H&M.... but it's time for those beauties to move over. My new infatuation is with these incredible t-bar courts:
I got them for £31 in the ASOS sale (down from £45) and despite them being ridiculously high - especially for work, and they're intended to be work shoes(!) they're VERY comfy and obviously incredibly beautiful. The materials used for the nude and black parts of the shoe are different - the black is a gorgeously soft and expensive feeling PU/fake leather that I can't get enough of! Can't WAIT to wear these to the office with a simple black shift dress and cardigan!

I work hard, every day of my life..

I've bought a few bits and pieces for my ever-expanding work wardrobe recently. Enjoy!
First up is this cute cream pussybow blouse from ASOS. I've been after a short sleeved neutral blouse for a while as I have a few patterned suits and skirts that I can't wear patterned tops with - this one fit the bill perfectly and luckily flatters my usually difficult shape! Bonus that its 100% cotton! I got it on offer for £20. Linky!

I love this quirky apple print blouse by Mango! The pattern is quite unique and it looks great tucked into a pencil skirt or over some wide leg or cigarette trousers. Simple way to inject a bit of my personality into my workwear! It was a little more expensive, but I managed to get some pennies off and bought it for £31 from ASOSLinky!
Last but not least is this cute little red linen pencil skirt. I loved the way the model on the ASOS website teamed this with a simple white blouse and black court shoes - very chic, I hope to replicate the look! I was tempted to buy this skirt in other colours because it fit so nicely, most notably 'Pecan', but I managed to restrain myself! I got it for £22. Linky!

I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills..

I've bought a few staples for my work wardrobe recently that I've been looking forward to sharing with you.
First up is this cute basic black belted cardigan from Mango. I tried on about 2 dozen different black cardigans in my pursuit of the perfect one and finally settled on this, for several reasons. Firstly, it's 95% cotton which means it won't bobble (I HATE it when that happens!) Secondly, its got a belt which means I can wear it over a pencil skirt and pull it in at the waist to maintain a nice silhouette. Thirdly & finally, it has POCKETS! I'm eternally craving pockets to put my bits and bobs in, so this will definitely prove useful at work. A relative bargain at just under £25, I'm sure I'll get plenty of wear out of this wardrobe staple.
This is an adorable blue cowl neck vest from H&M. I fell in love at first sight with the colour of this top, and when I tried it on and it was a perfect fit I was delighted! Ridiculously good value for money at £7.99, it's made from a lovely soft jersey material making it ideal for teaming with a skirt in the summer months.
Also from H&M is this basic black pencil skirt. I'm a bit of a funny shape when it comes to pencil skirts, and often find the high street doesn't make the waist measurement small enough to fit me, but this one slipped right on and fit like a glove! It's made of a really nice suit-like material, which is a pleasant surprise as it was only £14.99!
From Mango at ASOS is this brown belted skirt which I bought in the sale. I really love the warm tone of this skirt, which I think makes it ideal for wearing in either summer or winter, as it'd look equally nice with tan or black tights! A steal at £24, this is a stylish update for my work wardrobe! Linky!
Finally, I also bought this linen pencil skirt from ASOS for £24! This one's a bit of a longer length which is nice as for more important business meetings I sometimes feel a bit 'young' when I'm wearing an above the knee skirt. It's a lovely snug fit and gorgeous linen material, and fits me perfectly! Linky!

What are your work wardrobe staples? Do you have a particular skirt length you prefer on those power dressing days?
