Collective Fashion Haul - Milton Keynes

When I was in Milton Keynes a week or so ago, catching up with my Uni friends, we hit the shops and I picked up a few essential pieces for my work wardrobe. This isn't anything particularly ground breaking but I think it's all surprisingly good value so hopefully helpful to some of you who need new work clothes.

First up is this gorgeous black fitted dress, £29.99 from New Look. I was really surprised at the amazing fit and quality of this dress - New Look haven't often delivered in the way of well made work wear so it was a bit of a find for me, it fits beautifully and is super smart. Click!

I also picked up a couple of plain cardigans from New Look - I know these aren't exciting purchases but I'm always looking for good quality, cheap cardigans I can wear at work. These were £9.99 each, are very soft, nicely fitted and have lovely buttons (it's the small things). Click and click!

Finally, this A-line shift dress was £19.99 from H&M. A complete bargain, I was unsure how well it would fit but it's perfect and a little bit different to my other work dresses. A word of warning though, it does ride up quite a bit when you sit down which is a pain but overall for the price I'm impressed and happy I bought it. Click!

What do you think? Have you made any workwear purchases lately?

Spring forward

I bought a couple of dresses recently after catching S/S12 fever! I always get obsessed with the new season once it starts to roll into magazines and in stores, and this year is no exception!
This linen dress was £10 from Primark and I really love it. It fits nicely and works well with my pale skin - I was surprised it fit as I thought it wouldn't fit my boobs having such a high neck! I think the colour is perfect for Spring and the peter pan collar is adorable. It came with the little plaited belt which I think perfects the look. So excited to wear this time and time again over the summer as I think it'll be a really easy look to just pull on and go!
I got this black polka dot dress from one of the concessions at New Look to add to my work wardrobe. At ~£20 I thought it was a steal but didn't have time to try it on in the shop.. Luckily it fits perfectly with a little black vest underneath and is great as an easy work look, with or without tights - with a lighter cardi and bare legs I think it will look great in the summer too.
Have you invested in any S/S12 pieces yet?

Hey now, you're a rock star

Just a little Saturday morning post! I picked up a few bits last week that I wanted to share with you!
This gorgeous black sequin strapless dress was a BARGAIN at £10 from Tesco! I plan on wearing it to an indie night with an amazing camel & black leopard print blazer I already have and killer shoes!
Also a bargain, this All Saints-style vest top (grey with sheer skulls) was £5 from Tesco too! I've already worn this out with camel shorts, sheer tights & a denim shirt - very rock chick.
Finally this gorgeous bat print one shoulder dress £10 from Tesco. I LOVE it!

Close up pics to show the funky detailing on the shoulder and black and grey bat print. I really love this dress!
