Fabulous Nails #15

If you read my post on the presents I received for Christmas HERE, you will know I got a set of No 7 nail polishes, including this beauty:
I absolutely adore the colour of these polishes, they look so high quality and luscious, however they go on quite badly as the brush isn't very well designed. Also, as mine is from a gift set it is a very small bottle and after only using it 4-5 times it looks as if there isn't really much left! It's not the best for not chipping either, so I don't think I would repurchase. I'd recommend the shades though - you do get some lovely ones.
Recommended if you're after something just for a day/night - as the colours are divine but the longevity isn't so much. Linky!

Summer is Coming..

I got so excited when we had that random bout of warm weather a couple of weeks ago! I dashed out and immediately invested in some summer staples that I now can't wear because its now typical April weather again! Oh well..
I love this cherry print dress, £12.99 from H&M. Excited to wear it on warmer days in England but also think it'll be ideal for my holiday (I'm going to Greece in May with the boyfriend!)
I'm a massive fan of denim and really like the floral print on this shirt - I already own two but I wear them so often I could justify buying this beauty! £19.99 from H&M.
I am really enjoying all the pastels around S/S12 and bought into the trend with this cute strapless top from New Look. It was ridiculously cheap, I think it was around the £5 mark.
And finally, a little more boring - a bandeau bra also from New Look. Think it was £3? I bought it cause in summer you don't always want to have to team loose fitting vest tops with vest tops underneath, and I'm not a fan of flashing my bra. Think this will be the ideal solution!

I love... strawberries and milkshake

I'm not usually much of a fan of baths (which is probably a good thing given that London is facing a drought this summer!) but a couple of weeks ago I decided to have an impulsive bath and had to pop out and invest in some bubble bath!
I picked up this I love... strawberries and milkshake bath creme in Superdrug for £2! Bargain! I bought it mainly for the smell which is, as you'd expect, full of delicious strawberries! Really yummy. It made lots of lovely bubbles in the bath and you get tonnes for your money (500ml!), definitely recommended if you're after a nice smelling bubble bath!

Naked Shampoo & Conditioner

I began using Naked products a few months back but I never got around to blogging about it! So here's a post on my favourite shampoo and conditioner!
I use the Hydrating range as I think it suits my hair condition the most. My hair is short, curly and gets greasy after a day but as I currently blow dry it straight every day and straighten my fringe I reach for products that will hydrate it. This shampoo and conditioner fit the bill perfectly - I love them!

The shampoo lathers up really nicely in the shower and has a nifty click lid to prevent leaking when I'm travelling around with it in my bag. You get quite a lot for your money and a shampoo typically lasts me ~3 months, conditioner 4.5 months. I love the smell and since I started using this line of products my hair is noticeably shinier, softer and appears less damaged by my hairdryer and straighteners. I'm itching to try the leave in conditioner from the same range!
Here is a link to their website - I buy them for around £4 each from Boots.

Soap and Glory Pulp Friction body scrub

I was lucky enough to be bought a massive S&G gift set for Christmas and I've slowly been working my way through the products. Here's Pulp Friction, a delightful foaming body scrub!
I love exfoliating - I'm weird like that. I love having smooth and soft skin and try and exfoliate at least once a week. I really like this scrub - unlike some of the other S&G scrubs I use, it comes in a tube and foams when you use it, which feels a lot less harsh on your skin. Its a nice compromise between shower gel and more intense exfoliators but still does a great job at removing dead skin. It smells wonderful, as most S&G products do, so I'd be happy to repurchase this when it runs out! Overall, definitely recommended!

Slated: Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know I love nail polishes but find it really hard to keep my nails strong and chip free. After reading a few rave reviews of Sally Hansen's Hard as Wraps acrylic gel I purchased it using my Boots advantage points (yay!) and tried it the same day.. I was expecting great things as I use quite a few other Sally Hansen products which have worked great for me, but not this time!
Really not impressed at all. After reading reviews I expected my nails to feel a bit like falsies and super strong. They did, for the first day. I even wrapped my nails in the hopes that they would remain chip free and strong. They chipped on the second day despite using this as a base coat - not just normal chips either but MASSIVE chunks of my nail came off! Really really the opposite of what I wanted and expected. Absolutely gutted but glad I didn't waste ~£7 of actual money on this. Slated.

Claudia Canova Quilted Hearts Bag

If you've been a long time reader of my blog, you'll have read about my love for my Claudia Canova quilted hearts bag HERE. Unfortunately times change, and now I'm working I haven't really used my beloved bag for more than 6 months! Given that I am also having a bit of a fundraising/space making clearout to prepare for moving house and hopefully raise funds for my holiday in May, I thought it was the right thing to do to offer my beautiful bag to a new home where she will be used and happy.
If you're interested in buying my bag, please click HERE to see my listing on eBay.

No 7 Poppy King lipstick - Sheer Wine

My mum bought me a Poppy King No 7 gift set for my birthday, and this lipstick was in it!
The lipstick itself is quite small, about 3/4 of the size of a normal lippy. The packaging is otherwise really nice and stylish though.
I love the 'Poppy King' branding on the lipstick tube!
This might be the first sheer lipstick I've tried - I'm definitely more keen on matte colours - but I was really happy with this shade. Its easier to wear than a matte colour and I think looks quite subtle and classy on the lip. The shade is quite a luscious red too. It doesn't last that long on the lip, probably because its a sheer lippy, but its not drying and as long as you reapply it does look good all night. I'm definitely impressed and might try more sheer shades in future!
