eBay!

After much house hunting, me and my friend Steve have finally found a flat and we're moving in next week! In preparation of the big move I'm selling a few bits on eBay:

I Want Never Gets... Trousers

I've seen some gorgeous trousers/jeans on ASOS lately that I'd personally never have either the legs or the confidence to pull off, but I will happily share my lustings with you!
These cropped light wash denim skinnies are so cute and incredibly flattering on the model, but I can't help but think they'd make me look less than attractive. Still, I'd love to wear them with a band tee or long vest and faux leather jacket on colder summer nights. £30 from ASOS. Linky!
These simple black palazzo pants are so chic, but I just don't have the height or the right body shape to be able to pull off this look. A shame really, as at £40 these trousers are definitely an affordable wardrobe staple for A/W11. Linky!
& last but most certainly not least are these incredibly wet look leopard print leggings. I can't put into words how much I adore these - they're so rock chick! I'd love to have the confidence to wear these (and the slim thighs) but unfortunately I just can't see myself ever daring to wear them out! And at £40 they're a little to expensive to just wear around the house. Sigh. Linky!

Panic on the streets of London

As a Londoner (even if not born and bred) and someone who is currently attempting to find a flat in Brixton/Clapham (- South London) I just wanted to express my distaste, fear and frustration at the riots that have been going on for 3 nights now. I am frightened in my most favourite city in the world and I resent the idiots who are causing violence for no reason for making me feel this way.

Body Shop Hemp Foot Protector Review

I posted a while ago about a Body Shop 50% off discount code I received by email and used to treat myself to a few bits and pieces. Here's the first review of one of the products I ordered - the Body Shop Hemp Foot Protector.
I am eternally in pursuit of soft, beautiful feet (aren't we all?) and hoped that this foot cream would deliver on such a promise. My mum has been using the Hemp Hand Cream for as long as I can remember and she swears by it, so I thought I would take a chance and purchase the foot cream in the same range.
The smell of the Hemp range takes some getting used to, but the products are definitely worth overcoming this minor hurdle. The foot protector is a thick substance as you can see above, but it melts when you rub it into your feet so you actually only need a small quantity at a time. As a result, one tub will probably last me 6 months or maybe more if I forget to use it every week! I found that this product worked overnight to give me soft feet, and when used in conjunction with a foot file I had the feet I'd always dreamed of! Definitely recommended.
The foot protector retails at £10 for 100ml which I think is good value considering how long 100ml will probably last you! Linky!

Fabulous Nails #5

As promised, here's another post on my favourite nails looks from the past couple of weeks!
Starting with a brand that I don't usually buy - No7 'Stay Perfect' nail colour in Highland Mist. I had a £5 voucher for No7 at Boots and decided to try their nail polishes - I have to say I was impressed! You get quite a lot of polish for your money and some of the shades are very different to my usual brands (here's looking at you Barry M). Generally I think No7 polishes are a bit more grown up, this gorgeous neutral tone is a prime example. Delicious.
If you caught the last instalment of 'Fabulous Nails' you'll have seen how I experimented with pastel yellow and green to create a two-tone look. I did the same again more recently with these gorgeous Barry M paints - Cobalt Blue (darker) and Cyan Blue (lighter). Unfortunately it was only when I got on the Tube that I realised I'd created nails to match my Oyster card! Oops!
Last up is an old favourite - Barry M Nail Effects! I tried using the new White Nail Effects over Barry M Black polish and this was the effect - quite dramatic! I've had lots of stares and compliments whilst wearing this polish - its certainly an eyecatching design to wear!

Everyday Essentials

I thought it might be nice to show you a few random bits and bobs that I use every day as part of my healthy beauty routine!
I start every single day with my breakfast and these bad boys - vegan vitamin supplements! I am a vegan and have been for almost 4 years now, and despite being incredibly clued up on my diet and ensuring I eat healthily, I am paranoid about getting micro nutrient deficiency! Taking one of these a day helps keep my paranoia at bay! I know its not strictly beauty related, but I am a firm believer that you are what you eat, and making sure your daily intake is healthy and balanced plays a key role in looking and feeling beautiful. Also as a side note, my friend takes those healthy skin and nails supplements and I checked the ingredients - they're identical to my Vegan vits! £4.99 for 3 months' supply. Linky!
I also start every day by using baby oil when I get out of the shower. I use it on my legs, arms, tummy and boobs and it keeps my skin soft and in great condition. It's a really simple and quick routine to get into too - I buy mine from Sainsburys as its cheap and ethical (not tested on animals). £1.03 a pop! Linky!
Once a week I use this Boots Expert weekly toothpaste to give me that 'fresh out of the dentist' feel. I can't find a link on the Boots website but this is ~£3-4 and lasts a couple of months so its not bad value. I'm a bit of a dental hygiene obsessive so this is key to my routine.
I also use this No 7 sauna mask once a week to cleanse my pores and basically pamper myself! It's a great formula that warms up when you apply it to your face, and you can really feel it working! It's £11 but will last you MONTHS so its brilliant value in my opinion. Linky!
These are Body Shop exfoliating bath gloves - I use once a week to get rid of any dead skin on my body and make me feel a bit more fresh and clean! They're great as you can use them again and again, just remember to pop them in the washing machine every month or so! You can use them with your everyday shower gel to turn it into an exfoliator - brilliant value at £4. Linky!
Finally, this isn't my own pic but I cannot live without my tube of Carmex! I've tried dozens of lip balms in the past but this (original formula) has to be my all time favourite. It feels like it really works, keeps my lips flake-free, and is perfect for slicking on over the top (or under, or both!) of lipstick to keep my lips happy. £2.65 from Boots, you HAVE to try this if you haven't already. Linky!

What are your everyday essentials?

I Want Never Gets... Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson makes the BEST 'night out' dresses. That's all there is to say.
I can't even begin to put into words how much I love this dress. It is SO over the top, the ideas would sound terrible on paper - sequins and feathers, together?! - but the finished article is just fabulous. I would feel like a million dollars in this bad boy. Linky!
Again with the overstated glam - this ridiculously cute vs. sexy skirt would look incredible teamed with a simple nude vest and some killer heels. If only I had the bank balance to match.. Linky!
OK so these are a total odd one out, but I really like them! I can imagine wearing them on a slouchy Sunday afternoon with a basic blazer and pumps, smug in the knowledge that they probably cost more than most people's cars. Love. Linky!
