TGIF! I am so happy it's finally the bank holiday weekend - hooray! I will be popping off to Leicester with my beau this evening for a weekend of relaxation, shopping and drinking in our Uni city. I hope you have a lovely time however you choose to spend your three days.
You may have gathered from the title that today I'm doing a favourites post! I've never done one before but there are a few things I'd like to rave about this month, so here goes!
First up is a fashion favourite - this gorgeous cream and blue printed New Look blouse. I've loved wearing this for work & also on the weekend, it's really versatile. Everytime I've worn this I've received compliments and I do think it's one of the prettiest things I own! I posted about this HERE.
My second favourite of the month is this Christmas Cupcake Yankee Candle - now I am well aware that Christmas was many many months ago but I'm not one to restrict myself to seasons/festivities. If I like it, I like it, regardless of the time of year, and this deliciously scented candle is a big like! You can purchase this from Amazon for £17.99 HERE.
Onto make up, I have been using this MUA Undress Your Skin foundation (in shade Porcelain) almost every day since I bought it. I'm yet to properly review it, but in brief it's the perfect match for my pale skin and helps my skin stay matte and non-shiny well into the evening! I will be posting a full review soon. £5.00 from Superdrug HERE.
Another make up item I've adored in April is the Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple. You can read my full review of this HERE but suffice to say this has been the perfect workday lip for me throughout the month, and it will probably continue for the rest of the Spring & Summer! Usually £7.99 but currently £5.99 in Superdrug HERE (price correct at the time of writing).
My random favourite of the month is this hand wash from Baylis & Harding. I realise that hand wash probably isn't very high on the list of priorities for most people, but I picked this one up from Boots last month and it smells amazing - seriously, the nicest smelling hand wash ever! It's 'wild rose and raspberry leaf' and for £2.19 it's worth popping into your basket next time you're in Boots (similar HERE).
My favourite book from April is the new hardback from Jodi Picoult. I am a big big fan of Jodi, in fact she's probably my favourite modern writer - her books are always about controversial or taboo subjects that make you really think, and her characters are always incredibly well thought out. I read this in about a day and a half, I have a habit of reading Jodi Picoult books well into the night because I just can't put them down! You can buy this from Amazon HERE for £9.00.
What have been your favourites from April? What do you think of my picks?
xx

Really love the New Look blouse, looks great for the summer! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Lauren :-) xx
DeleteHope you're having a lovely time in Leicester!
ReplyDeleteDon't be offended - I used to love Jodi Picoult, too, circa The Pact and My Sister's Keeper - but do you not find her storylines a bit repetitive? They kind of annoy me with their almost formulaic writing. I'm not sure if that's her fault or if it's me just growing out of them? (Although, a notable mention must go to Sing You Home)
Thanks Jessi :-) yes I used to - but now I read the books as they come out so there's a big gap between them which makes it less noticeable and annoying! xx
