ASOS Sale Dresses

Happy Saturday morning everyone! Have you entered my giveaway? You could win goodies from Essie, Sleek and A-Derma. Click HERE to enter.

I recently picked up a couple of dresses in the ASOS sale that I have since absolutely fallen in love with, they're so pretty and perfect for Spring! The reason for the order was to find something to wear for my boyfriend's dad's 60th birthday, but I ended up keeping two dresses and not just one, woops!

This daisy print jersey dress looked lovely online but I think I like it even more in real life! It's a clingy fit with a gorgeous full skirt that is just so flattering on! I love the sweetheart neckline too! There's a lot going on with this dress so I think it looks best worn with simple sheer black tights, a beige cardi and my red trench coat. It's a real favourite of mine already and I know it's going to be ideal for Spring and Summer. Now £17.50 HERE.

This stunning electric blue dress virtually jumped off the screen when I saw it on the ASOS website, I bought it straight away and fell in love when I tried it on. It's just such a stunning colour! The sheer sleeves and cute white peter pan collar make it look much more expensive than it actually is, and this is the dress I wore to the party in the end. Can you believe it's only £16.50?! HERE

What do you think of my sale buys? Have you picked up any bargains recently?

My Christmas Party Dress

After all the posts and Tweets I've made deliberating over what dress to wear for my work Christmas party, I thought I would share with you all the dress I ended up wearing! It's this lace bodice and chiffon dip hem dress from New Look.

I bought it for £17.99 but annoyingly I can't seem to find a link anywhere on the New Look website so it must have sold out. It fit me perfectly on the bust and the dip hem made me feel like a princess, it was so floaty! I've found some similar dresses available from New Look HERE.

What did you wear to your work Christmas party?

Spring forward

I bought a couple of dresses recently after catching S/S12 fever! I always get obsessed with the new season once it starts to roll into magazines and in stores, and this year is no exception!
This linen dress was £10 from Primark and I really love it. It fits nicely and works well with my pale skin - I was surprised it fit as I thought it wouldn't fit my boobs having such a high neck! I think the colour is perfect for Spring and the peter pan collar is adorable. It came with the little plaited belt which I think perfects the look. So excited to wear this time and time again over the summer as I think it'll be a really easy look to just pull on and go!
I got this black polka dot dress from one of the concessions at New Look to add to my work wardrobe. At ~£20 I thought it was a steal but didn't have time to try it on in the shop.. Luckily it fits perfectly with a little black vest underneath and is great as an easy work look, with or without tights - with a lighter cardi and bare legs I think it will look great in the summer too.
Have you invested in any S/S12 pieces yet?

I Want Never Gets... H&M

I received the H&M Autumn Season 2011 catalogue about a month ago, and resisted the urge to frantically leaf through its glossy pages for all of about 5 minutes! Let's just clarify one thing - I LOVE H&M! I might go in some days and not see anything I want to buy, but let it be known that come autumn I am usually 100% infatuated with a large proportion of the stock. When I used to be in Sixth Form College back home in Leeds and I had a free period, I would often be found sneaking into town (a mere 10 minute walk) for a guilty browse of clothes I'd probably seen only a few days ago when I was doing the exact same thing! Anyway, on with the show:
I adore this cute tweed blazer, it's so perfect for the Heritage trend that's about to explode all over the high street for AW11! And it's such a great bargain at £19.99, what more could you want?! Linky!
Ever since I saw this dress in the catalogue I have been fantasising about wearing it to the pub on an evening, teamed with some trusty brogues, opaque tights and a cardi! Alexa chic in other words! I think the colour is just gorgeous and the cut looks perfect too! At £14.99 I'm definitely adding this to my wardrobe when I get paid at the end of the month! Linky!
I think the colour of this pretty green blouse is quite unusual, which is probably what initially drew me to it! I'd love to wear it with a grey pencil skirt and black tights for work in the autumn, but I think it'd look just as lovely with some skinnies and boots (see below!) for a more casual look. A steal at £14.99 Linky!
And finally, my biggest infatuation of the lot! As a shoe and boot girl, it was inevitable for me to fall head over heel for these beauties. I think the colour is just wonderful and will go with almost everything in my AW11 wardrobe, so definitely an investment piece (I say, trying to justify buying yet another pair of boots!). I am positively excited about the day I can afford to buy these! They're made from imitation leather so vegan-friendly too! And at £29.99 I don't think my bank balance will complain too much either! Linky!
